Eastern Illinois University, in partnership with the Illinois Innovation Network, is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for middle school teachers interested in developing and implementing a year-long lesson plan focused on local agriculture and agriculture-related technology. This initiative aims to enhance Âé¶¹´«Ã½’ understanding of local agricultural practices and technologies, and their impact on the community through experiential learning opportunities.
Proposal Requirements:
- A lesson plan that spans the 2025-2026 school year.
- Incorporation of experiential learning, such as field trips to local farms, agribusinesses, or research centers.
- Incorporate an element of technology as it relates to agriculture.
- A budget proposal outlining anticipated expenses.
- A plan for data collection to assess student engagement, learning outcomes, and a list of activities.
