Understanding your E-Number,
EIU Email Address & Password
- Your E-Number is a unique nine-character ID assigned to you upon admission. It appears on your acceptance letter and is used to store all University records. You’ll need to provide your E-Number whenever you contact a University office for help with your student records.
- Your EIU email address and password give you access to essential University systems, including:
- PAWS (student information system)
- PantherMail (your EIU email)
- Academic Works (scholarship applications)
- D2L (online classes)
- As you transition into student life at EIU, you’ll use your EIU email more frequently, and your MyEIU account less often.
- If you’re ever asked for a NetID ur Username instead of your email address, it’s simply the first part of your EIU email.
- Example: If your email is bpanther@eiu.edu, your NetID is bpanther.
