Each year, the Mathematics & Computer Science Department awards nearly 50 scholarships and prizes worth more than $170,000 to Â鶹´«Ã½ majoring in the department’s programs. These awards are due to the generosity of alumni and friends of the department. In recent years, we have awarded scholarships to approximately 40% of Â鶹´«Ã½ who have taken at least one course in the major. We award most scholarships at the end of the spring semester for the following academic year.

We consider Â鶹´«Ã½ from any major in the department (Mathematics, Computer Science, Mathematics for Teacher Licensure) for a scholarship award. Students begin the application process by completing the General Application through the . This application is critical, as there are many additional scholarships and awards across campus that Â鶹´«Ã½ may qualify for. Students receiving departmental scholarships remain eligible for other scholarships and awards from the University.
