Scholarships
Scholarships play a vital role in making higher education more affordable and accessible to Â鶹´«Ã½ and their families. That’s why we created our easy-to-use EIU Scholarship Search, which helps you explore all the scholarship and award opportunities available at Eastern. Admitted Â鶹´«Ã½ can log in and see more personalized scholarship information based on their academic profile. Eligibility For ROTC scholarships
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 31 upon graduation.
- High school Â鶹´«Ã½ must have a cumulative GPA above 2.5.
- College Â鶹´«Ã½ must have a cumulative GPA above 2.5 and be a full-time student.
- Must be able to pass an Army Physical Fitness Test (example for an 18-year old).
- Push-ups in 1 minute: 30 (male)/13 (female)
- Sit-ups in 1 minute: 35 (male) 30 (female)
- Run 1-mile in less than 8:00 (male)/10:00 (female)
- Must be able to meet the Army height and weight standards or meet body fat % standards.
- Must be able to pass a Department of Defense Physical.
- Meet remaining requirements found in Cadet Command Regulation 145-1 (mostly administrative requirements).
Types of Scholarships
Four-Year Cadet Command Scholarships (visit) www.goarmy.com/rotc
- Applications may be started as early as June immediately following an applicant’s Junior Year of High School. Applicants have until February 4 of their senior year to apply for an Army ROTC four-year scholarship.
- The first Cadet Command scholarship board meets in October of your senior year, so if you wait until January of your senior year to submit your application, you will have missed the first two scholarship boards. COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE OCTOBER 1.
