Over the past 10 years, on average, more than 40% of EIU Political Science majors attend graduate school or law school, expanding their skills, career opportunities, and professional networks.
All our Â鶹´«Ã½ receive mentoring to help them select a graduate school or law school that works for them. We encourage Â鶹´«Ã½ to connect with our Graduate Coordinator, Dr. Ryan Burge and our Pre-Law Advisor, Dr. Karen Swenson, early in their college careers. Faculty mentors will help Â鶹´«Ã½ by recommending where to apply, how to seek funding, and writing letters of recommendation.
We offer an accelerated graduate program to qualified juniors and seniors, allowing Â鶹´«Ã½ to earn their MA in Political Science or the MA in Political Science with the Public Administration/Public Policy option in just 1 additional year (2 semesters and a summer) after earning their BA.
