Meeting, convention, and event planners organize a variety of activities including weddings, educational conferences, business conventions and trade shows, sporting events, community festivals, and corporate special events. The minor introduces Âé¶¹´«Ã½ to the aspects of planning, funding, marketing, and managing meetings and events in a variety of settings. The Meeting and Event Management Minor is open to all Âé¶¹´«Ã½ (except those in the Hospitality and Tourism Major). There are two required courses (The Hospitality Industry and Hospitality Sales and Service), and four electives from a list of Hospitality and Tourism, Recreation Administration, Communication Studies, and Business courses.
